In a feature on the official website of the European Championships, Gibraltar's Dominic Carroll was hailed as someone who "embodies the true spirit of Barcelona 2010." Yet, he was shown the red card and ousted from the games, while the Gibraltar delegation was not allowed to take part in the opening ceremony of the games, thus the Gibraltar flag was kept out of sight.

Spanish boat raking for shell fish at Eastern Beach

This Spanish fishing boat is raking the seabed for shell fish just off the coast of Eastern Beach, Gibraltar. The boat is so close to the shore line you could almost walk out to it, yet there it is using a fishing method that is illegal under the Nature Protection Act 1991.
