Fredy Thompson and Transito Montepeque scored to lead Guatemala over El Salvador 2-0 Tuesday night in an exhibition. Before 12,246 at RFK Stadium, Thompson scored on a left-footed shot from just inside the top of the penalty area in the 45th minute. He took a pass from Mario Castellanos, dashed left and shot back past goalkeeper Benji Villalobos, who came off his line.
