American Samoa to mark earthquake anniversary

PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (AP) — Territorial Gov. Togiola Tulafono plans to declare Sept. 29 a holiday in American Samoa to mark the one-year anniversary of last September's earthquake and tsunami that claimed the lives of 34 people in the U.S. territory.
